PIH Academy: Evoke the Human Healing Response

For better or worse, we are what we eat, drink, think, and do. We are more a product of our choices than of our genes. In this PIH Academy course, Dr. Russ Jaffe will lead an in-depth exploration of the “human healing response.” The human body has an extraordinary capacity for healing itself, under the right conditions. Through this 8-lecture series Dr. Jaffe will discuss core physiology first practices to evoke human healing while overcoming obstacles to recovery and, ultimately, achieving life changing health outcomes.

This course consists of 8 interactive lectures by video conference. Lectures will be on the 1st Sunday of the month; 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Eastern time, beginning Sunday, April 19, 2020

About PIH Academy

PIH Academy: Educating healthcare practitioners on Physiology First as the basis of functional medicine in practice.

What do we mean by Physiology First?

Physiology is defined as: “A branch of biology that deals with the functions and activities of life or of living matter (such as organs, tissues, or cells) and the physical and chemical phenomena involved.”  Therefore, Physiology First is a practice philosophy that focuses on the processes and functions that create, sustain, and optimize life. It is an approach that looks at how the things we eat, drink, think and do impact us physiologically – either supporting or detracting from optimal function. Physiology First (beforepharmacology) is at the core of proactive prevention and the practice of functional medicine.
